Hi my name is Barney Silve i am a programmer with a vast exirence of web based applications, i use either classic ASP or PHP to program database driven websites. For databases i have used SQL Server, mysql, db2, access and even xml or text files.

I am degree educated and recieved a 2.1 on a BSC Hons. course in maths and computing from Brighton university in 1998. Based in near Tunbridge Wells, kent I can travel easily to Kent, Sussex,London,Surrey

I started my carrer as a programmer in Java then moved to Visualage Generator and finally to classic ASP all in my first year of work. I have used Classic ASP and SQL Server almost constantly since that time. I have at least 11 years expirence of Classic ASP and Sql Server. I did some C sharp and asp.net but became frustrated with continual changes so I kept on my Classic ASP with Sql Server but moved to PHP MYsql.

In 2004-5 a client asked me to look at PHP in relation to changing her Joomla websites and since that time i have done a lot of work in PHP and Mysql. I felt that PHP with its OO(object orientated) programming and the open source projects such as Drupal was something to look into. I find PHP / Mysql combination very easy to use and always improving.
